Personal Data Consent

commerce.mu — Software for Humanity Ltd

Last updated: 23 May 2026

This page explains how consent for the processing of personal data is structured across the language versions of commerce.mu.

Russian-language form

When personal data is submitted through the Russian-language enquiry form on this website, the consent given via the checkbox is governed by the Russian-language consent text published at /consent. That text is the legally operative version for Russian-speaking users and is not translated here, in order to preserve its legal effect.

English-language enquiries

When you contact Software for Humanity Ltd through the English-language version of this website, by email, or through messaging channels, your personal data is processed under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation. The full information notice — purposes, legal bases, recipients, transfers, retention and your rights — is set out in our Privacy Notice.

For English-language interactions, consent (where it is the legal basis) is given by an affirmative, specific and informed action — for example, ticking a dedicated checkbox before submitting a form, or expressly opting in to marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to privacy@commerce.mu, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Equivalent protection

The GDPR and the Mauritius DPA provide protections that are substantively equivalent to those provided under Russian data-protection law: lawfulness, fairness and transparency; purpose limitation; data minimisation; accuracy; storage limitation; integrity and confidentiality; and accountability. Data subject rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent — apply under both frameworks.
